Title: Season Of Seclusion (completed 2003)

Picture
Picture
Materials: Oil paint on canvas.

Description:
I began this in, I think, 1999 and completed it in 2003. That was a motivation issue more than anything. It's one of my favorite older pieces that I still have around. Unfortunately, since it's been sitting for soooo long sandwitched between some other paintings in my hot studio, it's taken a little damage. It's not much, just a  little paint was pulled off in small spots where it got stuck together. I'm not going to bother to repair it until someone expresses interest in buying it. It shouldn't take long to fix.

It's one of my romantic pieces if you can't tell.

Size: Aprox. 72 inches long
Materials:
Acrylic paint on wooden door.

Description:
I sometimes like to break out on the canvas zone when doing a painting. During a family yard sale, my brother and his wife were getting rid of this old wooden door.  I saw it and thought to myself...I think I wanna paint something on this sucker. It was one of those lightweight hollow ones, so, I grabbed it.

This piece has a spiritual and religious theme. As always, what you see is what you see. So...what do you see?

I really hope I can sell this one locally as it would be a B**** to ship!!!

Title: Moonlight At The Edge Of The Garden (2001)

Please pardon the flash glare to the right in this picture. I had to get in real close to take this detail shot. You should be able to see the texture of the sand I used for the ground fairly well.)
Materials: Acrylic and sand on wooden panel.

Description:
We all have the desire and need to be close to someone and loved, even if we sometimes deny it. This was an expression of that desire within me. Just to be able to share time with the right girl in a beautiful secluded place....
(Eh, if wishes were horses, mine would already be glue.)
So yeah, this is a romantic piece for me. It was created from the same heart as "Season Of Seclusion."

The lesson to learn here is that, yes, even us weird, isolationistic, artsy-types have hearts. Even if we don't want or feel comfortable sharing our space with many...we'd at least like to share it with someone special. It's a difficult and rare thing to find for some of us.

Title: Trinity Plus One (2002)

Materials: Acrylic paint and pencil shavings on canvas.

Description:
The only thing that I'll say to describe this is that it has a religious theme. Beyond that I'll let you view it as you will and see what you see. Yeah...it's one of THOSE kind of paintings. Hehe.

Paintings are very painty. Don't you agree?
